Dr. Audrey Sherman, a psychologist, is an expert at working with clients who want to be free from the emotional baggage that’s keeping them from living happier, more fulfilling lives. She believes that happiness and hope really can be learned
For over two decades, Dr. Sherman has taught thousands of clients how to change their thinking and habits in order to shake stubborn emotional difficulties. Her expertise is in helping others to overcome the emotional baggage stemming from a dysfunctional family, past relationships or dysfunctional thinking patterns. This “baggage” typically takes the form of depression, anxiety and anger.
Dr. Sherman earned her Ph.D. through The University of Georgia, and completed her doctoral internship through Wayne State University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences in Detroit, MI. There, she studied adult, child and forensic psychology.
Dr. Sherman is the founder of DysfunctionInterrupted.com , a personal development company based in Fort Myers, Florida and online. She is also CEO and Founder of PsychSkills Consulting Group, working with companies to increase employee engagement and development.
In addition to working with individuals she provides in-depth workshops and retreats on personal growth and development. She is the author of “Dysfunction Interrupted-How to Quickly Overcome Depression, Anxiety and Anger Starting Now”.
She is also the author of the children's picture book, "Theodore Teedo Smooching Man-Teedo comes home".
Her hobbies include reading, cooking, travel, and golf.
